6 ears fresh corn
1 large onion chopped
1 medium red or green pepper chopped
i jalapeno pepper seeded and chopped
1 T oil
3 medium tomatoes chopped
2 medium potatoes peeled and chopped
1 bay leaf
1 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1/4 t sugar
1/8 t allspice
2 cups half and half
6 bacon strips, fried and crumbled, as topping

Directions:
Directions:
Cut corn off cob, set aside. Run edge of knife down cob and "milk" the liquid and pulp off of the cob. Add milk to this to equal one cup. Set aside

Saute onions and peppers, add next 7 items and boil. Reduce heat, add cream and corn, simmer 30 minutes. You can put it in the crock pot as well.
