Peel ripe cucumbers remove seeds; cut in quarters lengthwise.
Soak in salt water 2-4 hrs. Drain and wash.

Make following brine:
1 C vinegar
1 C sugar
1 bag pickling spices

Cook pickles till clear. Seal

(Small roaster full makes 5 pints.
1/4 C salt for small roaster and about 2 T pickling spices)
