1 Cup Butter, softened
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 t. Vanilla
1/4 t. Nutmeg
3 1/2 Cups Flour
1 t. Baking Soda
2 t. Cream of Tartar
1 t. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla.
Mix in dry ingredients.
Roll out 1/2" thick and cut with cookie cutters.
Bake 12 minutes.
Cool and decorate.

Always a favorite since I can remember. Mom used to decorate cookies every Christmas with the grandkids. What a mess they made but I think she loved it! Now Julie is the cookie baker.
