1 1/2 cup chopped Pecans, toasted and divided
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 Tablespoon light corn syrup
1/4 cup water
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Directions:
Spread 1 cup of pecans into a 9 inch circle on lightly buttered baking sheet
Bring sugar, butter corn syrup and water to a boil in heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Cook until mixture is golden brown and a candy thermometer registers 290º to 310º.
Pour sugar mixture over toasted pecans on baking sheet
Sprinkle with chocolate chips let stand 30 seconds
Spread melted chocolate chips over top and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup toasted pecans.
Chill 1 hour. Break into bite size pieces. Store in airtight container

this candy is great broken on top of ice cream. Makes nice party favor.. put a few pieces in small bag and tie with ribbon.
