Directions:
Directions:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
teaspoon salt
Mix together. Set aside.

2 sticks butter or margarine, melted
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup water
Mix together. Bring to rapid boil and pour over dry ingredients while hot. Stir well. Then add:

cup buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix all ingredients together and stir well. Bake at 350 degrees on large cookie sheet (with rim). Make icing while cake is baking and frost the cake while it is hot--right out of the oven.

Icing:
1 stick butter or margarine
6 tablespoons buttermilk
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
Bring all ingredients just to a boil. Remove from heat and add one box (one pound) powdered sugar (sifted). Frost cake immediately.
