Ingredients:  
1 fairly large sweet potato ( yam)
3 eggs - beaten
2/3 cup white or brown sugar
2/3 cup melted margarine
1/3 cup heavy cream or milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp all spice ( or cloves and cinnamon)or skip the nutmeg & allspice and use 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice it has all 3 already in it)

Topping:
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 cup chopped nuts
1/3 cup margarine
Handful of quick oats

Directions:
Directions:
Peel , dice, boil,drain and mash yams.
Add eggs, sugar, margarine,milk,vanilla, and spice.
Pour into greased 9x9 in baking dish.
Mix together ingredients for topping and then sprinkle on top.
Bake @350º for 1/2 hour.

Got this recipe from Auntie Marsha when we made the journey to Winnipeg for Derek's baptism and Ezra's baby blessing many years ago. I had previously decided I did NOT like yams and was not about to even try them but she convinced me to just try it ....and I was hooked . Been making,eating, and sharing yummy yams ever since !
