3 cups apples with skin, chopped
2 cups fresh cranberries, cut in half
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup flour
1 cup quick oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease a 9 x 11" glass Pyrex dish. Layer apples in bottom of glass dish, followed by a layer of cranberries. Mix together the sugar, butter or margarine, flour, oats, brown sugar, walnut, coconut, and cinnamon. Layer this mixture on top of the cranberries.

Bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes until bubbly.

My grandmother made this every time we got together as a whole family, especially at Thanksgiving. She said that it was only worth making if everyone could really enjoy it and taste every little bite because it takes her a very long time to cut all those apples and cranberries up!
