Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This dessert is what sealed the deal with my husband. We went to my husband’s aunt and uncle’s place for Thanksgiving in 2011, and I was asked to make his grandmother’s dessert for dinner. I pulled out this recipe and followed along. My husband and his cousin ate nearly half of the dish themselves and it was even approved by his grandmother.

Right after dinner, we went for a walk with our puppy and came upon a stream. That is where my husband got down on one knee and proposed to me. This recipe has held a special place in my heart and now I make it every year at Thanksgiving.
