1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1 lb. gum drops, cut up and floured

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and eggs together.

Add dry ingredients and milk alternately.

Stir in gum drops.

Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for about 1 hour.

Cake can be eaten like this or frosted with icing sugar icing.

Myra always had this cake at Christmas.
She would keep it in a tin under the cupboard beside the donuts.
