Ingredients:
1 French baguette
1 round of brie cheese (4 or 8 ounces)
1/2 cup of red wine
1-2 tablespoons of sugar
Fresh blackberries

Note: this recipe requires advance preparation.

At least one hour before serving, mix the wine and sugar. The amount of sugar you use is based on the type of red wine you choose- less will be needed for sweeter wines. Pour the mixture over the blackberries in a small bowl and let them soak for at least one hour (the longer the better!).

15 minutes before you want to serve the dish, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. While the oven is heating up, cut the baguette and slice the brie. Prepare one slice of cheese to top each piece of bread. Place the cheese-topped crostini on a baking sheet and bake for six minutes (longer for bigger cheese slices). Remove from the oven and top each crostini with a wine-soaked blackberry. Spoon some of the remaining juice mixture over each.
