1/2 pound unsalted butter
2 cups brown sugar
3 cups cooked/mashed butternut squash (well drained and kept warm)
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
3/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup maple syrup
White pepper, to taste

Directions:

Note: this recipe requires a food processor.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. While squash is still hot and after draining, mash or puree in a food processor. Add butter while mixture is still hot. Add remaining ingredients. Blend well.

Pour into buttered baking dish and bake at 350 degrees until just set, approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
