1 pkg. skinless smoked sausage
1 medium onion, diced
4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 large jar of great northern beans, rinsed
add enough water or broth to cover all ingredients.

Directions:
Directions:
In crockpot, big pot, or cast iron pot. Add all ingredients. You can add different kind of beans or mix.
Let it cook all day in crockpot.
Let it cook in big pot on top of stove on medium for about 45 minutes.
Let it cook in your cast iron pot over the fire, just be careful, so you don't burn.

Strange isn't it? Fisherman stew but no fish in it. It got its name while camping. Put it over the fire in the morning, then go fishing, hence, fisherman stew. It is a wonderful pot of flavor. Fix some cornbread to go with it.
