1/2 lb. elbow macaroni
1 tsp. salt
4 c. boiling water
1/2 c. American cheese, cubed (optional)
1 c. celery, diced
2 hard-boiled eggs, diced
1 tbsp. pimento, minced
1 tbsp. green pepper, minced
salt and pepper to taste
mayonaise or salad dressing

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the macaroni in the boiling water with the added salt until all the water is absorbed and the macaroni is tender but a bit chewy in consistency. Be sure to stir the mixture constantly as it is cooking. When cooked, chill thoroughly.

Toss the cheese (if desired), celery, eggs, pimento, onion, green pepper, salt, and pepper with enough solar dressing or mayonnaise to blend well.

Combine with the chilled macaroni.
