1 medium sweet onion, chopped
1 lb hamburger meat (browned in skillet)
1 lb sweet Italian sausage links
1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
1 small can tomato paste
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp basil
2 Bay leaves
8 oz package sliced mushrooms

Directions:
Put everything into your crock pot except the mushrooms. I like to lay the bay leaves on top so I can keep track of them. Cook on low heat for 8 hours. Add the mushrooms in the last 30 minutes of cooking. You can remove the bay leaves & cut the sausages in half at this point, too. Serve over pasta with garlic bread on the side.
