1/2 c sugar
1 - 1/3 c light corn syrup
3 large eggs beaten
6 T butter
dash of salt
1 c chopped pecans
deep dish pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Boil sugar, butter and corn syrup for 5 minutes. Pour thin stream of syrup mixture into beaten eggs slowly, stirring to allow the eggs and hot syrup to mix without curdling the eggs. Put pecans in bottom of deep dish pie crust. Pour syrup mixture over pecans. Bake at 350º 40-45 minutes . Turn oven down to 200º and bake until pie is set (about 10 minutes).
