1/3 c shortening
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c milk
1/2 c sugar
1tsp cinnamon
1/2 c butter melted

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 12 muffin cups. Mix shortening, sugar and the egg. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg alternately with milk.

Fill muffin cups. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Mix 1/2 c sugar and the cinnamon. Immediately after baking roll puffs in melted butter, then in cinnamon-sugar mixture (or fill small ramekins with melted butter and sugar mixture so each person can dip their own muffins.
