Banana Pudding Recipe

2 1/2 cups milk
1 cup sugar
4 egg yolks, beaten
2 1/2 t. cornstarch
1 t. vanilla
4 egg whites
1/2 t. vanilla
8 T. sugar
Vanilla wafers
Bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Bring milk to a boil. In a saucepan, mix the egg yolks, cornstarch, and the one cup of sugar. Add milk. Stir constantly over a low fire until the mixture thickens. Add 1 t. vanilla. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites adding 8 T. sugar gradually. Add 1/2 t. vanilla. In a casserole dish, layer vanilla wafers, bananas, pudding. Repeat layers. Cover with meringue. Bake at 350 degrees until browned.
