1 head lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
2 c. celery, chopped
2 T. fresh parsley, chopped fine
4 green onions (with tops), sliced
2 (11 oz.) cans mandarin oranges, drained
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1/4 c. butter or margarine

Dressing:
1 tsp. salt
Pinch of pepper
1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. tarragon vinegar
1/2 c. salad oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine lettuce, celery, parsley, green onions, and mandarin oranges in salad bowl. Toast almonds in butter in a 350º oven, just until brown (watch carefully). Combine dressing ingredients, mixing well. Drizzle over salad and toss. Sprinkle toasted almonds over top and serve at once.
