Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb ground chuck
1 or 2 tbsp oregano & basil
large onion
1 or 2 cloves garlic
1 large Prego spaghetti sauce
lasagne noodles
2 cups cheddar cheese
3 cups mozzarella cheese
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
salt - pepper
2 tbsp parsley flakes

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground chuck, adding salt & pepper, basil and oregano. Drain thoroughly. Add in Prego, garlic and onion, simmering until onion is tender.

Add into cottage cheese, garlic salt (1/2 tsp), pepper and parsley flakes

Cook lasagne noodles ( 6-9) until tender

I mix the cheddar cheese and 2 cups of mozzarella together. Save 1 cup of mozzarella for the top.

In casserole dish or 9x13 pan, start layering sauce, noodles with cottage cheese mixture, then cheese, then start another layer. I usually do two layers and end with lots of cheese. I bake it at 350 for about 45 minutes covered, then take off the foil and brown the cheese for just a minute or two.

Personal Notes:
This is a family favorite along with Kim's baked spaghetti. It freezes great too.
Adjust to your personal spicy taste the garlic, basil and oregano.

Years ago I read that when you cook anything with tomato products, you must add salt before the tomato or it will never seem salty enough. I found this to be true with lasagne and chili especially.
