125 g (1/4 lb) bacon diced
250 g (1/2 lb) ham flavored turkey diced
1 large onion diced
2 cloves garlic minced
1-540 ml (19 fl oz) can of tomatoes
1-284 ml (10 fl oz) can bean and bacon soup
1-284 ml (10 fl oz) can of consommé
375 ml (1 1/2 c) chopped carrots
250 ml (1 c) celery chopped
250 ml (1 c) cabbage chopped
125 ml (1/2 c) green beans or peas
250 ml (1 c) spaghetti broken in pieces (or other pasta)
50 ml (1/4 c) fresh parsley minced (or 30 ml (2 tbsp.) dried parsley
5 ml (1 tsp) dry sweet basil
tomato juice or water if needed
salt and pepper to taste
parmesan cheese grated

Fry bacon until transparent. Add ham-flavored turkey, onion and garlic. Saute stirring constantly. Add tomatoes, bean and bacon soup, consomme, celery, carrots, cabbage, green beans or peas, spaghetti, parsley and basil. Simmer until fresh vegetables are tender - 20 to 30 min, adding tomato juice or water if soup is too thick. Taste and add salt and pepper if desired.

Microwave Oven Directions
1-540 (19 fl oz) can of tomato juice or water is also needed. Cook bacon on High 2 to 3 min or until transparent in a large casserole dish. Remove bacon, add ham-flavored turkey, onion and garlic. Cook on high and stir once or twice until onion is transparent about 4 to 5 min. Add bacon, tomato juice, tomatoes, bean and bacon soup, consommé, celery, carrots, cabbage, green beans or peas, spaghetti, parsley and basil. Cover and cook on high 12 to 15 min or until liquid boils. Reduce power to 50% and cook another 20 min or until vegetables are tender and spaghetti is cooked. Let stand 10 min. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.

To serve: Sprinkle each bowl with parmesan cheese.
