5 whole vanilla beans, split down the side
1 cup of vodka, 70% or higher

Directions:
Directions:
Put this in a small bottle that you can seal, such as a cork. Put the split beans in the bottle and fill with the vodka, you can also use rum or bourbon. Place in a dark cool area. Shake every week.

You can also use mint, spearmint, orange, lemon, etc. whatever kind of extract you want.

This will take 3 to 6 months. But so good and we know how much pure vanilla cost! Now you just made your own pure vanilla for a lot less. Use just like the bottle you would buy in the store! How easy is that.
