1/2 C Shortening
3/4 C Creamy Peanut Butter
1/3 C Sugar
1/3 C Brown Sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 C Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
48 Chocolate Kisses
Extra Sugar

Preheat oven 375º
Beat shortening and peanut butter in a large bowl until well blended. Add brown sugar and white sugar beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla beat well. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to peanut butter mixture and beat well. Form into balls the size of a walnut and roll into sugar. Place on cookie sheet. Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Immediately press chocolate kiss into center of cookie. remove from cookie sheet and cool completely.
