1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1 egg
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar & egg mix thoroughly. Blend in flour, soda, baking powder, salt.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Shape dough into 1 inch balls and place them 3 inches apart on a lightly greased baking sheet. Use a fork to press each ball in a crisscross pattern to flatten.

Bake 10 top 12 minutes
Immediately remove cookies from baking sheet to cooling rack
