Ok, here is number three experiment idea before I even start a fire:

Small package fresh mushrooms
1 onion
˝ stick butter
2 T. or so oil
1 or 2 lbs tenderized round steak
˝ C. flour
1 little tub sour cream
2 C. or so beef broth
1 C. Savion Blanc wine
flour to thicken.

Directions:
Directions:
Flour and season round steak (cut into strips). Brown on all sides in oil (not too much, fixing to add butter).
Season mushrooms and onion (chopped), add butter and sauté them in with the steak strips. Cook this down to reduce. Add broth and wine and simmer 30 min. Add sour cream and thicken with cornstarch (2 T. starch, 2 T. water)
The addition of the wine to this is amazing, it is a trick I learned from Becky Carlsberg, cook at the Burnet Community Kitchen.

Personal Notes:
This is my third shot at finding a workable Dutch oven Stroganoff recipe. Did this 9/20/2016 using a thick rib eye (sliced an inch or so and tenderized) and served over German fried potatoes instead of noodles. (had a steak and potatoes that needed to be used, heh). Did this one in the kitchen but should work great in Dutch oven.
I have since done this in a Dutch Oven on campfire and it works excellent. I did cook the noodles before hand. A campfire is not a good place to boil noodles.
