7 quarts popped popcorn
1 c sugar
1 c light corn syrup
1/4 c water
1/2 t salt
3 T butter
1 t vanilla
Food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Place popcorn in large baking pan and keep warm in oven. In a heavy saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup, water and salt. Cook over medium heat until candy thermometer reaches 235º which is the soft ball stage. Remove from heat and add butter vanilla and food coloring. Stir until butter melts. Immediately pour over popcorn and stir until evenly coated. When cool enough to handle quickly shape into balls dipping hands in cold water to prevent sticking.
