1 C butter
1 C packed brown sugar
1 C white sugar
4 eggs
2 t vanilla extract
1 1/2 C flour
1 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
2 C peeled and finely shredded yams
1 C confectioner's sugar
2 T butter or margarine
12 T milk
1 bag pumpkin cinnamon chips (or chocolate or butterscotch)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 baking dish.

In large bowl cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the batter until just blended. Fold in the shredded yam and chips. Spread evenly in the greased baking dish.

Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Mix together the confectioner's sugar, butter and milk until smooth. Spread over blondies while they are still warm.

I found the pumpkin cinnamon chips by accident one year. They are only sold during the fall baking season so if you can find them stock up on them because they are amazing in this recipe.
