4-5 lbs chicken thighs
1-bag large egg noodles
4 stalks celery
1 large onion
2 c. carrots
12 cups chicken stock ( cubes are fine )
salt and pepper
1 t. celery seed
1 T. garlic powder
1 T.montreal chicken seasoning
1/2 T. parlsey
Roll of biscuits ( or 2 )


Directions:
Directions:
Boil chicken thighs ( skin optional) in water to cover them for 15 Ė18 minutes with pinch of salt and pepper.
Chop celery, onions and carrots to desirable size.
Pull chicken out and set aside to cool for chopping.
Add seasoning, veggies and stock. Return to boil.
Remove skin and pull meat from bone. Chop into small pieces and add to stock.
Return to boil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Add noodles cover and turn off heat. Let sit for 10 minutes.
Serve with biscuits or crackers.
Makes 5-6 quarts of soup. If you plan to freeze, separate soup and add noodle to part ready to eat. Noodles donít freeze well. Recipe can be cut in half for smaller prep.
This is a favorite of my children. Cold nights and when everyone is sick. Nothing feels better than hot soup when you feel sick.
