Ingredients:  
2 cups flour
3 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 t. soda
3/4 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first four ingredients. Cut in shortening. Put soda in cup and add buttermilk. Stir into dry ingredients. Knead gently. Do not roll out. Pat with hands on lightly floured wax paper. Lightly grease 2 round cake pans. Cut out biscuits. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven. Cool.
