1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt

2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Mix shortening, butter, 1 1/2 cup sugar, and eggs thoroughly. Blend flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt together. Stir into shortening mixture. Mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls. Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cookies will puff up first before flattening out.
