500gm. Beef mince (basic mix not the leanest)
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Pepper & salt to taste
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. barbecue sauce
Any other herbs or spices to your taste.

In a mixing machine add all the ingredients and thoroughly mix together. If you have a patty maker use about 60gm for each burger. Otherwise wet your hands and roll a similar amount into a ball. Flatten each ball into a burger shape and fry each side for about 3 minutes each or done to your liking.

Do not use the expensive mince, the basic mix contains more fat which is necessary to make the burger nice and juicy. The very lean mince makes for a tougher burger.
You could substitute lamb, pork, chicken or turkey mince in lieu of beef.
