1/2 stick melted butter
1 1/4 c. plus 2 T. sugar
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. milk
2 c. fresh or frozen blackberries
Whipped cream or ice cream for serving

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 3-qt baking dish with butter.
In a medium brown, whisk 1 cup sugar with the flour and milk. Whisk in the melted butter.
Rinse the blackberries and pat dry.
Pour the batter into the baking dish.
Sprinkle blackberries evenly over the top of the batter.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar over the blackberries.
Bake until golden brown and bubbly, about 1 hour.
Sprinkle with the remaining 2 T. sugar and bake another 10 minutes
Top with ice cream and/or whipped cream.
