6 large green peppers
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. cooked rice
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
water for boiling

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Cut thin slice from stem end of each pepper. Remove seeds and membranes. Wash inside and out. Cook peppers in boiling salted water 5 minutes. Drain.

Cook and stir ground beef and onion in skillet until onion is tender. Drain off fat. Stir in salt, garlic powder, rice and 1 c. tomato sauce. Heat through.

Lightly stuff each pepper with 1/2 c. meat mixture. Spray baking dish with Pam and stand peppers upright in dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers. Cover; bake 45 minutes. Uncover; bake 15 minutes longer.
