1 12 oz. seasoned dressing bread crumbs
1 1/2 cup chopped onion
1 lb. shucked oysters
2 cups diced celery (I omit this, don't like cooked celery, but mom always insisted, lol)
1 cup butter
1/2 cup chicken broth (might need more if too dry, add to your preference)
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped parsley

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan heat butter, onion and celery. Cook until tender, around 8 minutes.
Add broth,parsley and pepper, stir.
Stir in dressing bread.
Add oysters.
Put into baking dish.

Bake 325 for 50 minutes.

I was always in charge of fixing the dressings for the holidays at mom's. I was not the oyster eater, mom was. She would eat them right out of the container.... ewwww. I would fix a sage dressing then I would fix this oyster dressing for her. I still fix it because some of the other family members love it also. I am slowly...very slowly starting to eat it.
