Use Sweet Yeast Dough Recipe

Poppy seed Filling:
3 cups poppy seeds, rinsed in warm water
2 cups water
2 cups raisins
8 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 tsp almond or vanilla extract
margarine, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Put poppy seeds and water in a pot and bring to a boil, turn to low, cover and simmer for 2 hours. Cool. In the meantime, soak raisins in hot water for about 20 minutes and then allow to cool. Put raisins and poppy seeds through a meat grinder. Add eggs, sugar and extract and mix well. Using the sweet yeast dough, roll a piece of dough to 10" x 15". Spread with margarine. Spread 3 heaping serving spoons of poppy mixture over dough. Roll up dough as you would the bread and fold in sides. Put in greased loaf pans and brush with oil. Let rise for about half an hour or until double in size. Bake at 350 F for 30 - 40 minutes.
