1 C. sugar
3/4 C. shortening
1 C. molasses
1 egg
1 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
3-1/4 C. flour
pinch of salt
granulated sugar for rolling

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all together. Roll into small balls, roll balls in granulated sugar. Bake on greased cookie sheets about and inch apart at 350º until brown.
