Ingredients:  
1/2 cup ( 1 cube) butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup C & H golden brown sugar
1/2 cup sifted flour

TOPPINGS:
2 eggs
1 cup C & H golden brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tablespoon flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup shredded coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, brown sugar, and salt. Add flour and blend. Spread and press mixture in bottom of a 13 x 9 inch. glass baking dish. Bake 15 minutes ( or until golden brown) in a 325 degree oven


Topping:
Beat 2 eggs and stir in 1 cup of brown sugar and add vanilla. Mix together and stir in flour, baking powder. Add chopped walnuts and shredded coconut. Bake 25 minutes in 325 degree oven. When cool, cut into 2" x 2" squares
