Chocolate Pie Crust

1 1/4 C Chocolate Ice Box Cookie Crumbs
1/3 C Butter, melted
Mix and press into greased pie pan and chill
Filling

3 Eggs, separated 1 tsp Plain Gelatin
2/3C Sugar 1/4 C Cold Water
1/4 tsp Salt 1 tsp Vanilla
1C Milk, scalded 1/2 Pint Heavy Cream

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg yolks, sugar and salt. Gradually add scalded milk to pan. Cook stirring constantly until mixture coats spoon. Add gelatin dissolved in cold water. Stir until well mixed and cool until partly set. Add the vanilla and then FOLD in the stiffly beaten gg whites and the beaten heavy cream. Pour into crust. Top with grated chocolate.

Keep Refrigerated.

This is Arthur's favorite recipe from his mother. She sent it to me when we lived in North Carolina, the first year we were married. Of course, Arthur had me request this recipe.
