2 eggs...
3/4 cup molasses...
3/4 cup brown sugar...
3/4 cup butter, melted...
1 1/2 t cinnamon...
1/2 t ground cloves..
1/2 t nutmeg...
1/2 t baking powder...
2 t ground ginger...
1 cup boiling water
1 1/4 t baking soda.....this must be added last, understand, LAST!

Cool Whip for garnish...

Preheat oven to 350º...
Spray Pam in a 9 by 13 inch baking dish...
Combine all ingredients, except Cool Whip, together, remembering to add the baking soda last....
Pour mixture into the baking dish and bake for 30 minutes...
Test to be sure it's done....using a toothpick, test in middle of dish and if toothpick comes out clean, you are good to go...
Serve warm...

If serving right after dinner, I suggest you put in oven as you sit down to your dinner...

You really do not have to serve warm but the flavor really hits you when gingerbread is warm!
