1 lb lean ground beef
1 (28 oz) jar spaghetti sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 C water
4 C part-skim ricotta cheese
1/4 C grated parmesan cheese
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese (1/2 C reserved for top)
4 eggs
1 (16 oz) package lasagna noodles

Preheat oven to 350º
Spray 13" x 9" x 2" (or deeper) pan with non-stick spray

-In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion and garlic until onions are transparent and beef is no longer pink. Drain off fat.
-Stir in brown sugar, sauce and water until heated through.
-In a medium bowl, combine ricotta, parmesan and eggs.
-Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in pan.
-Layer with uncooked noodles
-Layer with cheese mixture.
-Repeat with sauce, noodles, cheese mixture layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of sauce.
-Cover pan with aluminum foil.
-Bake 350º for 45 minutes.
-Uncover and top with remaining mozzarella.
-Bake 15 minutes more.
-Remove from oven, let stand 10-15 minutes before serving.
