1 c. milk
1 T. sugar
2 eggs
dash of salt

Directions:
Combine all ingredients and beat with a beater until smooth. Let stand for 15 minutes.

Heat a large pot of oil to 375º. Dip your rosette iron into the oil first and then in the batter, but don't completely submerge the iron; only about half to 3/4 covered. Dip the iron with batter back into the oil and hold until the rosette separates from the iron. The rosette will float to the surface to cook. Cook on each side until golden.

Transfer cooked rosettes to a cooling rack, hollow side down to allow excess oil to drain. Dust with granulated or powdered sugar.
