cup shortening 1 tsp. baking soda
cup butter 2 cup flour
1 cup sugar tsp. salt
2 eggs 2 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400F. Mix shortening, butter, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Sift remaining ingredients together and stir in. Roll into 1 Tbsp. sized balls. Roll in a mixture of 2 Tbsp. sugar and 2 Tbsp. cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned but still soft.
