6 egg whites
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1 1/2 c sugar
3/4 c chopped pecans, toasted
1 pt fresh strawberries
2 TBSP orange flavored liquor
2 c heavy cream
1/4 c powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy. Gradually beat in sugar and beat until stiff. Fold in nuts. Shape 4 7" circles on a greased floured baking sheet. Babe 1 1/2 hours. Turn oven off and let meringue cool in the oven with the door closed.
Slice berries and reserve 3-4 berries for garnish. Toss berries in liquor or sugar.
Beat heavy cream with 1/4 c powdered sugar until stiff.
To assemble: Place one meringue on a serving plate. Spread 1/3 of whipped cream over meringue. Place 1/2 of berries on top of whipped cream. Repeat for 2nd layer. Top with 3rd meringue layer. Spread remaining whipped cream on top of 3rd meringue. Place 4th layer of meringue on top. Garnish with reserved berries.
