4 cups of confection sugar
1/4 cup melted margarine
1/3 cup finely chopped nuts
dash of salt
3 tbsp canned milk (more for cocoa layer as it has tendency to be dried)
1 oz square of unsweetened chocolate (melted)
2-4 maraschino cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Add sugar gradually to melted margarine. Blend in nuts, salt, milk, vanilla (1 tsp). Divide into 3 part. Add chocolate to one part and press into small loaf pan. Press a second part on top of the chocolate. Cut cherries into small pieces and add to the last 1/3 portion of the fondant, after adding some red food coloring (or juice from maraschino cherries) until pink. Press pink fondant on the top. Chill until firm. Cut into slices 1/4 inch thick; then into serving portions. Make approx 3 doz pieces.
