1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour milk
1 tsp soda
1-2 cups mashed bananas
2 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
Nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening; add sugar and eggs. Blend well. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into two well greased loaf pans and bake at 350* for 30-40 minutes until toothpick (or knife) inserted in middle comes out clean.

This is best using two (or more) cups of bananas. Also may be made into cupcakes or small loaves of bread!
