3 c fresh rhubarb, about 1 lb, cut into 1” pieces
¾ c sugar
4 TBSP water
4 whole cloves
1 (1”) piece stick cinnamon
1 TBSP cornstarch
1 ½ c fresh sliced strawberries, washed and hulled

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine rhubarb, sugar and 2 TBSP of water with cloves and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer over low heat until rhubarb is tender. With slotted spoon, remove rhubarb to serving bowl, reserving liquid. Remove and discard cloves and cinnamon.
Dissolve cornstarch in remaining 2 TBSP of water and add to rhubarb liquid in saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens. Pour over rhubarb and stir fresh strawberries into this. Makes 6, ½ c servings.
