1 ½ qt water
3 tsp chicken bouillon
1 sm onion diced
2 – 10oz pkg frozen broccoli
2 TBSP cornstarch
4 TBSP cold water
1 lb American cheese
1 pt half & half
1 ½ lb fresh broccoli cut into 1” pieces
4 oz diced ham

Directions:
Directions:
Put water in soup pot. Bring to a boil. Add bouillon, onion, and frozen broccoli.
Cook until broccoli is soft. Strain, reserving broth. Puree broccoli until smooth. Return broth and broccoli to soup pot. Bring to a boil. Mix cornstarch and cold water. Add cornstarch mixture to boiling broth mixture. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add American cheese and stir until melted. Cook fresh broccoli until tender. Strain and add to soup. Heat half & half to serving temperature and add to soup. Add diced ham and season to taste.
