6 TBSP butter
1 TBSP minced onion
2 c cooked wild rice
3 c chicken broth
½ tsp salt
1 c half & half
Snipped parsley
1/2 c shredded carrots
1/2c flour
3 TBSP chopped, slivered almonds
1/3 c cubed ham

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan. Saute onions until tender. Blend in flour. Gradually stir in broth. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil and stir one minute. Stir in ham, carrots, almonds, rice and salt. Simmer 5 minutes. Blend in half & half. Heat to serving temperature. Garnish with parsley.
