3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 rounded tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375
Cream shortening & sugar together
Add molasses & eggs
Sift dry ingredients together
Add to moist mix
Form into small balls
Roll balls in granulated sugar then place 2" apart on cookie sheet
Flatten balls with bottom of glass
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes
