3 eggs
1/2 C sugar
2 tsp vanilla
Pinch salt
2 1/2 C milk
3 1/2 C slightly dry bread cubes
3/4 C raisins
3/4 tsp cinnamon mixed with with 2 tbsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Beat until light and fluffy. Add milk and stir to blend. In greased 2-quart casserole place bread and raisins in layers. Pour milk-egg mixture on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place dish in shallow pan of hot water. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until top is slightly crusty. Serve warm with pouring cream, maple syrup or ice cream, if desired.
