1 medium head cabbage (1½ to 2 pounds) cut into wedges
1 tablespoon quick-cooking Tapioca
¼ teaspoon allspice
1½ teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon dried sage, crushed
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ cup water
1 tablespoon Dijon style mustard
1 to 2 tablespoon prepared horseradish, to taste

In a 4½ or 5 quart slow cooker place cabbage wedges. Sprinkle with tapioca. Trim fat from meat. Place meat on top of cabbage in cooker. Sprinkle with allspice, thyme, pepper, salt, sage and paprika. In a small bowl combine water, mustard and horseradish. Pour over mixture in cooker. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 10 to 15 hours or on high setting for 5 to 6 hours.
